How to request deletion

Subject: Delete my Recipe Collector account

Include:

• The email address you use to sign in with Google/Apple (if applicable), or your Firebase UID (if you can access it)
• Optional: “Delete everything” or “Delete cloud backup only”

Timeline

We process deletion requests within 30 days (or replace with your real SLA).

What data will be deleted

When your request is processed, we delete data associated with your account identifier (Firebase UID), including:

• Your account identifier stored in our database (UID)
• Server-stored recipe backups linked to your UID (if backup was enabled)
• Share-link data created under your UID (share tokens and associated shared items)

What data may be kept

We may retain minimal records as required for security, abuse prevention, and legal compliance. If retained, logs are kept for up to 30 days (or replace with your actual period). If you do not retain identifiable logs, replace this paragraph with: “We don’t keep identifiable logs tied to your account.”

Optional: delete data without deleting the account

If you want only your cloud backup deleted while keeping your account, state it explicitly in your email request. (If you don’t support partial deletion, remove this section and keep it simple.)
